Located on Cais da Rocha, in Alcântara, Lisbon, next to the Tagus River estuary.
Designed by the architect Pardal Monteiro in 1934, with construction taking place between 1945 and 1948. The building is made of reinforced concrete and stands out for its modern structure.
The building has two floors, with the first floor dedicated to passengers and the ground floor to dock services. It includes a main lobby and a large nave. A terrace-balcony extends beyond the building in the eastern direction.
The decorative murals on the walls of the lobby were created by the artist Almada Negreiros, following a modernist aesthetic.
It was classified as a Monument of Public Interest by Ordinance No. 740-FC/2012.
It features facades with large glass windows, offering a modern and luminous view of the building.
