The Ribeira das Jardas Linear Park is located in the Agualva area, belonging to the town of Agualva-Cacém, in the municipality of Sintra. This linear green space extends along the Ribeira das Jardas, establishing a pedestrian and cycling connection between the Rinchoa-Fitares Urban Park and the Agualva-Cacém City Linear Park. Its position offers a diverse route, which develops harmoniously between areas with urban characteristics and others with a more rural environment.

A Revitalized Space

With an extension of about 1200 meters, this park emerged from a project aimed at the recovery and valorization of an important section of the Ribeira das Jardas. The intervention allowed for the restoration of the naturalness of the water line and its banks, through the planting of about 700 new trees and the introduction of various native and ornamental species. The result is an environment where nature has been carefully integrated into the urban context, contributing to the preservation of riparian habitats and the sustainability of the site.

Leisure and Connectivity

The Ribeira das Jardas Linear Park was designed for the enjoyment of the community, offering ample leisure and recreation areas. The pedestrian and cycling paths invite relaxing strolls or a quiet ride, while resting areas punctuate the route, allowing for moments of rest. It is a place that encourages outdoor circulation and physical activity, playing a central role in the organization of public space and in improving the quality of life for its visitors.
