Origin

First mentioned in the 16th century. Porto de Mós received charters in 1305 and 1515.

Structure

Corinthian column with a cross on top and two shields, located in front of the Church of São Pedro.

Reconstruction

The original was destroyed in 1895 and rebuilt in 1985 based on an 1830 engraving.

Importance

Classified as a Property of Public Interest.
