Praia das Cebolas is situated at the southern tip of the Baleal peninsula, in the municipality of Peniche. It is found in a tranquil cove, between low dunes covered with coastal vegetation and a narrow sandy stretch.
Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it offers a wide panorama of the maritime horizon and, on clear days, the outlines of the village of Baleal in the distance.
The water displays shades ranging from turquoise blue to greenish, thanks to the fine granulation of the sand and the clarity of the sea. The gentle lapping of the waves creates a relaxing soundscape, ideal for moments of contemplation.
At the edge of the beach, small pools form at low tide, where it is possible to observe marine life such as anemones and small crustaceans. The constant breeze brings fresh air, making a sea bath invigorating.
Along the coast, rocky outcrops mark the meeting point between land and ocean. These rocks, sculpted by the movement of the waves, exhibit striated textures and fissures that change appearance according to the tide level.
During low tide, the rocks expose small caves and ledges that create shadows and photographic contrasts, giving the location a unique character.
