Praia da Concha is located in São Pedro de Moel, in the municipality of Marinha Grande, nestled in a small cove next to the cliff. Access to the parking area is on the coastal road, from where a trail departs to the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
Surrounded by rock formations and coastal vegetation, the beach offers a direct connection to the Atlantic, with views of the horizon and the scattered houses of São Pedro de Moel to the north.
The sandy area is small and protected from the prevailing wind, creating a tranquil atmosphere even on windy days. The descent is via a set of wooden stairs and stone slabs, which require some attention but allow for close contact with the cliffs.
Upon arrival, you can feel the constant sound of waves breaking against the rocks. The surrounding silence and the salty sea air compose an ideal environment for those seeking peace.
The sandstone rocks, sculpted by sea currents, extend along the shore, creating natural pools and sheltered areas from strong waves. At low tide, small rock pools form where it's possible to observe fauna such as anemones and mussels.
As the tide rises, part of the sand is covered, transforming the area into a true refuge for those who enjoy swimming in calmer waters.
The scenic stage of Praia da Concha is composed of the contrast between the deep blue of the sea and the warm tones of the cliffs. The upper viewpoint provides a privileged photographic spot, especially at the end of the afternoon, when the light enhances the textures of the rock.
Beyond the landscape, it's worth noticing the details of the rugged coastline, which stretches in both directions, inviting a brief stroll along the rocky embankment.
