Espaço da Concas is located in the Avenal area, in the parish of Nossa Senhora do Pópulo, Caldas da Rainha. This venue is part of the city's Arts Centre complex, sharing the same environment dedicated to culture and artistic expression.
This cultural space pays homage to Maria da Conceição Nunes, artistically known as Concas (1946-1991). Inaugurated in 2009, the venue celebrates the work of this painter who played a relevant role in the development of art in the region, particularly associated with the founding of the School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha.
At Espaço da Concas, visitors can explore a significant portion of the artist's estate, donated by her family. The permanent exhibition was designed to showcase the evolution of her painting throughout the various phases of her career, offering a perspective on her creative development from her early works to her final pieces.
In addition to the collection dedicated to Concas, the Space regularly hosts temporary exhibitions. These shows complement the cultural offerings, presenting works by other artists, both local and from other regions of the country. This varied program contributes to the constant vitality and updating of the space, always providing something new to discover.
