The building, conceived by architect Paulo Pedroso, stands out for its singular design. It comprises two main spaces, separated by the reception area. The peculiarity of its architecture lies in the elements that, through their lines and forms, suggest the passage of time, with details that evoke both the past and the future, conferring a profound meaning to the name Casa do Tempo.
Inside, one of the rooms hosts a permanent exhibition that invites visitors on a journey through the history of Castanheira de Pera. Through pieces related to the textile industry and copies of the local newspaper O Castanheirense, visitors can understand the community's roots and development. This space explores aspects of the region's typographic and industrial heritage, revealing its traditions and trajectory.
