The Ski Parque is located in the municipality of Manteigas, in the locality of Sameiro, specifically in the urban area designated "Ski Parque" or "Parque da Reboleira". This place is nestled in the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, about seven kilometers from the village of Manteigas. It is a privileged spot, crossed by the Zêzere River and framed by an extraordinary mountain landscape, where nature presents itself in constant mutation with the seasons.

The Singularity of Artificial Skiing

Differentiating itself by its offering, the Ski Parque provides the practice of skiing and snowboarding on synthetic slopes, making these sports accessible year-round, regardless of the presence of natural snow. This characteristic allows winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy the mountains in any season, with the same techniques applied on snow slopes.

The Slopes and the Challenge

For those visiting the Ski Parque, there is a variety of artificial slopes designed for different levels of experience. This includes a learning slope, with a gentle gradient, ideal for first-time skiers. In addition to this, there is a longer descent slope, about 320 meters long and with a 25% gradient, equipped with lighting for night skiing. Complementarily, the park has a half-pipe for the more daring and a ski lift with a 300-meter route, which facilitates access to the slopes with an intermediate exit.

Leisure in a Natural Context

Beyond slope sports, the Ski Parque offers a natural environment conducive to leisure and adventure. The presence of a river beach stands out, a welcoming space by the waters of the Zêzere River, where one can enjoy the serenity of the mountain landscape. The location also includes areas dedicated to activities that promote discovery and communion with nature, presenting itself as a complex dedicated to sports practice and outdoor well-being.

A Space in Evolution

The Ski Parque has been undergoing a period of redefining its offering. After being affected by fires, the current focus of the space's development centers on valuing various sports and adventure experiences, as well as the continuous improvement of leisure infrastructure in a natural context.

Although skiing and snowboarding on synthetic slopes continue to be a distinctive feature of the location, the development strategy is expanding, seeking to consolidate the Ski Parque as a meeting point for adventure and human interaction, with renewed emphasis on the river beach and other sports practice areas.
