Architecture

- Noble horizontal building with integrated chapel and decorative balcony.

- Longitudinal plan with two floors, including an octagonal chapel.

- Varied roofs: gable, hip, and gable-and-hip roofs.

Main Facade

- West-facing, with four sections separated by granite pilasters.

- First floor with doors and windows with curved lintels.

- Second floor with balcony windows and a wrought iron balcony.

History

- Built in the early 17th century by Cristovão Gomes Rebelo and Isabel Vaz.

- Chapel added in the 18th century by D. Rosa Maria de Morais Freire.

- Expansions in the 19th century, including new buildings and internal improvements.

Interior

- Rooms with paper-covered walls and wooden or stucco ceilings.

- Atrium with 19th-century tiles.

Chapel

- Facade with three sections and a simple central portal.

- Curved side windows and a pediment with pinnacles and a cross.

Recent Renovations

- Conservation work in the 1980s.
