The Misericórdia Church of Pinhel is located in Praça Sacadura Cabral, in the center of the city of Pinhel, next to the Church of São Luís.
Built in the 16th century, as evidenced by the date 1537 engraved on the altar of the side chapel. The Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Pinhel was also founded at the same time.
It presents a Manueline religious architecture, with a single nave, symmetrical side tribunes, and a main chapel. A large eighteenth-century window stands out on the main facade.
During the French Invasions in 1810, the Misericórdia registry was destroyed and the church was looted by French troops.
Since 1977, the Misericórdia Church of Pinhel has been considered a Property of Public Interest.
It has a rectangular plan with a single nave covered by coffers, a main chapel covered with national-style carvings, and a side chapel with a ribbed vault.
