Praia dos Rebolos is situated in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, in the locality of Budens, in the area surrounding the Casa Saudade urbanisation. Integrated into the context of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, this beach is bordered by cliffs that define its peculiar geography.

The beach's position, nestled between the cliffs, provides a more sheltered environment from winds and sea agitation coming from certain directions.

Coastal Characteristics

This beach is distinguished by its unique composition. Its name derives from the abundance of rounded pebbles that accumulate at the base of the cliffs along its entire length.

The presence of sand is more noticeable during low tide, when a thin strip of sand becomes visible, offering a space to enjoy the coastline that is submerged at high tide.

Secluded Nature

Access to this coastal area is not direct by land at all times. Its natural configuration, with the pebble bank and the protection of the cliffs, makes approach easier by sea or, alternatively, by land only at low tide and by overcoming the rocky obstacle at the base of the cliff.

This characteristic contributes to the sense of tranquility found at Praia dos Rebolos. Even on busier days in the region, this place tends to be less frequented, providing a calmer experience for visitors.
