Vale Espinhaço Beach is situated on the Algarve coast, within the Alfanzina area, Lagoa municipality. It is an oceanic beach nestled in a cliff indentation, facing the Atlantic Ocean. Its position is marked to the west by the promontory where the Alfanzina Lighthouse can be seen, and to the east by a small islet located near the coastline.
The beach area of this beach is small, about 120 meters long, set within the cliff. The space consists of sand mixed with some rocky blocks. The surroundings are characterized by the typical coastal rock formations of the region.
This beach stands out for being accessible exclusively by sea, via boat. This particular characteristic contributes to it being a typically less frequented location with an atmosphere of greater tranquility and isolation, offering a more reserved experience.
The area around Vale Espinhaço Beach is known for the abundance of sea caves that open up in the coastal cliffs. For those arriving by sea, the underwater landscape is enhanced by the often crystalline waters, allowing for the observation of the seabed.
