Located on the coast of Carvoeiro, in the municipality of Lagoa, Praia do Vale Currais (East) is sheltered in a small cove. It is defined by cliffs that rise around it, giving it a secluded environment. Access to this sandy area is only possible by sea. Offshore, to the southwest, a characteristic islet can be seen, marking the local coastal landscape.
The sandy area of this beach is small, nestled at the base of the cliff. Its surface is composed of a mixture of sand and the presence of some loose rocks. In the area adjacent to the sand, there are also many submerged rock formations, which become more or less visible depending on the water level.
The landscape around Praia do Vale Currais (East) is shaped by the typical Algarve cliffs, whose warm colors contrast with the blue of the sea and sky. The cove configuration provides an intimate natural setting, away from busier areas of the coast. This environment offers a perspective of the region's geological beauty and the constant interaction between land and ocean.
The available sand area on the beach varies considerably with the state of the tide. For a better experience on the sandy area, it is important to consider low tide periods, when the sand strip becomes more extensive and accessible for staying.
