This beach is located in the Casas da Audiência area, near the town of Altura, in the municipality of Castro Marim. The name "Praia da Retur" is also used locally, associated with a development in the area.
It is characterized by a very wide sandy expanse, which stretches for a great distance along the coast, both to the east and to the west. The sea here tends to be calm, with gentle waters and a temperature that usually remains pleasant for swimming, without the presence of strong waves.
The dune area and the adjacent pine forest mark the transition between the interior and the beach. This green area offers shade and hosts typical coastal vegetation, such as stone pines and some shrub species. With attention, it is possible to observe the fauna that inhabits this environment, including various birds and, occasionally, chameleons.
The vast expanse of sand, combined with the surrounding nature and the calm sea, lends this beach an atmosphere of serenity. It is a place that invites relaxation and enjoying the landscape in tranquility.
