Situated in the Olhos de Água area, in the municipality of Albufeira, this small cove is nestled between golden-colored cliffs. Access is on foot via a narrow trail that starts from the coastal road, offering, right at the beginning, glimpses of the typical low-lying vegetation of the Algarve.
The beach, of reduced extension, stretches along a bay protected by the cliffs, facing south, which guarantees sun exposure for most of the day. In the vicinity, the sea mixes verdant and turquoise-blue tones, resulting from the sandy seabed and the presence of seaweed meadows near the coast.
The contrast between the fine, light sand and the rocks sculpted by time gives the beach a tranquil aura. The gentle currents make the water inviting for a calm dip, while the sound of waves crashing against the rocky corners creates an atmosphere of serenity.
At the top of the cliffs, the native vegetation offers natural shady spots, where refreshing sea breezes can be felt. It is common to observe small fish near the rock pools, allowing for direct contact with coastal marine life.
The cliffs feature galleries and small caves, sculpted by the force of the sea and wind over centuries. The colors range from ochre to brown, accentuating the picturesque character of the landscape.
Some caves, accessible at low tide, invite exploration of the interior of the cliffs. These corners reveal geological textures and layers that testify to the process of marine erosion and the natural history of this part of the coastline.
From the top of the cliffs, wide perspectives open up over the coast. It is a privileged spot for capturing images of the meeting between the ocean and the rocks, as well as variations in light throughout the day.
At the level of the sand, the framing between the rocky walls ensures that each photograph captures an intimate environment, almost as if the bay were a natural frame enhancing every captured moment.
