Located in the parish of Olhos de Água, municipality of Albufeira, this small beach is part of a stretch of sculpted cliffs that dot the Algarve coast. Its more secluded position makes its access less obvious, but it keeps it away from the most frequented routes.
The sandy area is nestled between rock formations typical of the region and extends into coves of fine sand, where the play of light on the transparent waters is noticeable. The surroundings remain essentially natural, with discreet Mediterranean vegetation marking the top of the cliffs.
The ochre-colored cliffs are shaped by the forces of time, creating nooks and platforms where the waves crash regularly. Erosion has given rise to small caves and dry grottoes that contrast with the intense blue of the sea.
The seabed is rocky at the entrance, making the sea deeper just a few meters from the waterline. Underwater visibility is good, especially outside periods of rough seas, highlighting the contrast between light sand and streaks of algae or layers of limestone.
As it lacks structures or direct access, the beach retains a refuge-like character. It is rare to find crowds, even during the summer months, which favors those seeking moments of silent contemplation.
The ebb and flow of the tides also shape the environment: during high tide, splashes of foam on the rocks create an almost hypnotic scene; during calmer tides, the sandy area widens, inviting discovery walks along the waterline.
