To showcase the daily life of the municipality's rural life, before the transformations brought about by technological and social progress.
Various traditional utensils, such as the millstone for grinding corn (from whose flour xarém is made), tray and board for stretching bread dough, copper pots and dishes, gourds, cork cocharros (drinking vessels), aluminum cutlery and utensils.
The fireplace with the pot on the trivet evokes family evenings, marked by stories, songs, and sharing around the fire.
Throughout the year, there are exhibitions of local traditions, such as the Traditional Serrano Nativity Scene at Christmas and the Maia in May, which celebrates the arrival of spring.
The Traditional Kitchen Museum Center is one of the nuclei of the Municipal Museum, which also has other spaces dedicated to the history and heritage of the region.
