Olhos de Água Beach is located within the locality of the same name, Olhos de Água, in the municipality of Albufeira. Its location is marked by the transition between the urban area and the seafront, framed by cliffs. Adjacent to the beach, there is a promenade with traditional cobblestone paving that offers views over the sandy area and the sea.
The most distinctive element of this beach, and what gives it its name, are the freshwater springs that emerge from the sand and between the rocks. Visible especially during low tide, these springs, or 'olheiros' as they are locally known, create small bubbling effects in the sand, providing an unusual sensation of freshness on the beach.
The beach landscape is enriched by the surrounding cliffs, displaying warm, ochre tones. The sandy area, of modest size, varies with the tide, it is more extensive at low tide, allowing for better exploration of the coastal zone. The water, generally calm, appears clean.
In the eastern part, it is still possible to observe signs of traditional fishing activity, with some boats by the sand and fishermen's huts, a testament to the locality's origin as a fishing village.
