A Building with History

This cultural facility resides in an eighteenth-century building, with origins dating back to the 18th century. Formerly known as the Casa dos Ricos (House of the Rich), it was once the headquarters of the Sociedade Filarmónica Lacobrigense. Its transformation into a Cultural Centre, inaugurated in 1992, represented a careful reconversion, which preserved its identity and how it fits into the urban landscape, keeping its facades facing public spaces.

Since its inauguration, the Lagos Cultural Centre has established itself as a dynamic space for artistic production and dissemination. It is a meeting point for diverse cultural manifestations, regularly hosting temporary exhibitions showcasing the work of different artists.
