- Situated in the parish of Viana do Alentejo, municipality of the same name, in the district of Évora, Portugal.
- Classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1933.
- Built in white marble.
- Composed of a round shaft without a capital.
- The base is cubic.
- The shaft is fluted in the upper part and smooth in the lower part.
- A sculpted rope wraps around the middle of the shaft, giving it a resemblance to the Pillory of Estremoz.
- Built in the 16th century, possibly after the granting of the new charter by Manuel I in 1517.
- The original location of the pillory is unknown.
- Served as a pillar of a porch in the Municipal Slaughterhouse.
- Until at least 1986, it was located next to the north wall of the Castle of Viana do Alentejo.
- It was transferred to the Municipal Yard, where it remained until 2000.
- Currently, it is rebuilt and displayed in the old Town Hall, in Praça da República.
