The Lucefécit Dam is nestled in the Alentejo region, more precisely in the civil parish of Terena, belonging to the municipality of Alandroal, in the district of Évora. This imposing structure stands over the Lucefécit Stream, a tributary of the Guadiana River, and is located west of the town of Terena. The Structure and its Purpose

Designed in 1976 and put into operation in 1982, the Lucefécit Dam is a remarkable example of embankment engineering.
