The Angel Tower is located in the Bairro de São Pedro, in Montemor-o-Novo, integrated into the town's castle complex. It is situated in the western section of the old walls, next to the Angel Gate, which is also known as the Bishop's Gate.

Its strategic position makes it a landmark within the castle area, inviting careful observation of the defensive structure that once protected this access.

Defensive Legacy

The Angel Tower played a fundamental role in the defense system of Montemor-o-Novo Castle. Built to protect one of the fortification's crucial entrances, the Angel Gate, this tower was part of a set of two parallel structures that flanked the access.

Architectural Features
