This chapel is located in the city of Estremoz, within the Santo André area. It is specifically situated in Largo D. Dinis, an area close to the monumental castle complex.
The construction of this small temple dates back to 1726. It is believed that its dedication was linked to foundlings or orphans.
This possible connection is explained by the historical proximity of a hospice intended for abandoned children, a building that today houses the Prof. Joaquim Vermelho Municipal Museum.
The chapel features notable elements of the Baroque style, associated with the reign of D. João V (1707-1750).
Currently, due to the ruin of the original facade, only the structure of the chancel remains, the main part of the temple.
