The Anta de Curral dos Mouros, also known as the Dolmen of Sobreda, is a megalithic monument located near Sobreda, in Seixo da Beira, Portugal. This ancient monument is a funerary landmark that dates back about 6000 years, built during the Neolithic period.
Composed of nine large vertical stones (orthostats), the anta has an oval chamber and an access corridor. Originally covered with stone slabs, today only eight of the nine stones are intact. Some of the stones still show traces of red paintings, discovered in the late 19th century.
After its initial use, the anta was closed and later reused by different cultures over the millennia, demonstrating its continued importance to various communities throughout history.
