The project considered the surroundings, creating ample pedestrian zones that articulate harmoniously with the building.

Architectural Design

Inaugurated in 2001, this aquatic complex was conceived with a distinctive architecture, marked by the presence of two parallel bodies. The design prioritizes the entry of natural light through large glazed facades oriented south and east, which are protected by brise-soleils to optimize thermal comfort in summer. On the exterior, a water mirror reflects the building, creating an illusion of lightness and visual extension of the aquatic areas, while contributing to privacy. Indoors, the laminated timber trusses on the roof of the pool area are a notable aesthetic element, and the false ceiling ensures adequate acoustic correction and environmental control.

Diversity of Water Features

The interior space of the Municipal Swimming Pools of Mira offers a variety of water features designed for different purposes. There is a vast multi-purpose pool, with a considerable area and varying depths, suitable for various aquatic activities. Additionally, there is a recreation and fun pool, equipped with a slide and water jets, ideal for more relaxed moments. For the little ones, there is a smaller and shallower children's pool. A jacuzzi complements the offer, providing a space for relaxation.
