Located in the parish of Lourosa, this pillory dates back to the 16th century, possibly built around 1514, when the village received its charter from King Manuel I.
It is a remarkable example of a pillory with a base of two steps and an octagonal plinth. The column is also octagonal, with an ornate pyramidal crowning.
Classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1933, the pillory stands out as an integral part of the region's historical heritage.
It is located near the old manor house of the Cunha family, adding additional historical context to the visit.
