It is situated on the Quebra Costas stairs, a steep and characteristic pedestrian passage that connects the lower city to the upper area, where many historical and academic points of interest are located.

Its location on the stairways gives it a unique setting, surrounded by old buildings and featuring a traditional street atmosphere typical of the university city. Walking through Quebra Costas is part of the experience of discovering Coimbra on foot, and this place naturally integrates into that route.

The Universe of Illustrations:

Inside, one finds a visual universe created by illustrator Márcia Santos. The pieces presented are entirely original and frequently focus on themes related to childhood and a gentle, whimsical imagination.

Here it is possible to observe works depicting characters with delicate features, elements of nature such as birds and plants, or structures like castles. The techniques used vary, with a highlight on the use of ballpoint pen and cardboard, and also include relief creations, which transform the illustrations into authentic three-dimensional artworks.
