Located in the village of Ceira, in the municipality of Coimbra, next to the parish center and easily accessible by road.
Revivalist construction from the late 19th century, which recovers traditional forms without using overly elaborate elements.
A single long nave and a chancel; the nave has a slightly lowered vault and the chancel a barrel vault.
Built where it is believed there was an older temple, it has preserved its original design since its inauguration in the late 1800s.
It is worth seeing the sacristy and the two tombstones embedded in the floor, silent witnesses to local history.
At the back of the church there is a small chapel dedicated to the rest of souls, ideal for a different photograph.
Quiet space, with regular celebrations; it is common to find the parish choir rehearsing (sometimes open to visitors).
Take the opportunity to visit the bank of the Ceira River before or after the visit, and combine it with a walk through the typical houses of the parish.
