The Water School is located in Arrifana, an area within the locality of Ega, in the municipality of Condeixa-a-Nova. Its position offers a starting point for those wishing to explore the Terras de Sicó region, providing an initial context for this distinctive geographical area.
This interpretation center is dedicated to deepening knowledge about the Sicó Karstic Massif and the Rio de Mouros Plain. It is here that the value of water is emphasized as a fundamental pillar in the formation and understanding of the region's natural and cultural heritage.
The experience invites an exploration of how water has shaped the Earth and how it has been utilized in various human activities, such as agriculture and livestock farming, over time.
Outside the Water School, a permanent exhibition is available. One of its main features is a panel approximately 50 meters long, which illustrates the complex urban water cycle.
This visual representation aims to raise awareness of the various stages and the daily work that ensure the management and quality of the water supplied to the population.
