Managed by the Teatrão company, through an agreement with the Municipal Council, this venue is dedicated to the regular presentation of shows. It is not limited to the company's own productions, also hosting works by other artists and exploring various scenic languages that go beyond traditional theatre. It is also a space where artistic training is promoted, contributing to the cultural development of the region.

Structure and Resources

The facilities of the Municipal Theatre Workshop are designed to support a wide range of scenic activities. The building features two main performance halls, the Sala Grande and the Tabacaria, both with adaptable configurations for various artistic proposals. In addition to these, the complex includes a multi-purpose room, a dedicated rehearsal space, and workshops for carpentry and for creating props and costumes. This complete structure allows for the realization of large-scale theatrical projects, from conception to public presentation.

Accessibility and Inclusion

Teatrão, as the company managing the Municipal Theatre Workshop, is committed to inclusion and equal access to art. In this regard, the space was designed with the accessibility of all visitors in mind. The main performance halls, Sala Grande and Tabacaria, are located on the ground floor of the building. To facilitate entry for people with reduced mobility, access doors, including the box office, have low-rise ramps, and there are adapted restroom facilities.
