Banda de Soure boasts a remarkable legacy, with roots extending beyond its formal constitution in 1938. Local history has it that its first steps were taken as early as 1926, under the name Grupo Musical Sourense (Sourense Musical Group), within the Associação de Instrução Sourense (Sourense Instruction Association). This transition, which culminated in the approval of its statutes on March 17, 1938, cemented its lasting presence, transforming it into a pillar of Soure's cultural life across generations, overcoming the typical challenges faced by volunteer-driven institutions.
