Meimão River Beach is located in the town of Meimão, in the municipality of Penamacor. It is situated on the vast expanse of water of the Meimoa River reservoir, surrounded by an intensely forested natural landscape. Its proximity to the Serra da Malcata Protected Landscape Area and its integration into the Naturtejo Geopark contribute to an environment where nature reveals itself as preserved and authentic.

Bathing Structure and Leisure

This bathing area was designed to provide moments of leisure and well-being, taking advantage of the reservoir's characteristics. It features a floating pool, organized into two areas with different depths, allowing for use by various age groups. There is also a diving board, offering the possibility to dive into the dam's waters. In addition to the areas dedicated to bathing, the site offers spaces for recreational activities and sports courts, such as beach soccer and futsal.

Natural Environment and Rest

The river beach features an extensive grassy area, adorned with trees that offer natural shade, inviting visitors to rest and relax outdoors. Its proximity to the Serra da Malcata Natural Reserve reinforces the feeling of a calm and harmonious environment, where it is possible to observe wildlife and enjoy the fresh air. In the vicinity, there are also pedestrian trails that encourage exploring the surrounding landscape and having closer contact with nature.
