The Pillory of Rosmaninhal is located in the parish of Rosmaninhal, in the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova, in the district of Castelo Branco, Portugal.
This monument is classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1933, standing out for its historical and cultural importance.
It is believed that the Pillory was built around 1510, coinciding with the granting of the Manueline charter to the town.
The Pillory has a circular base with three steps, upon which stands a spiral column. The base is decorated with half spheres and ropes, giving it a unique visual.
At the top of the Pillory, there are four faces with heraldic motifs, including the royal arms, the armillary sphere and the Cross of Christ, which are important symbols of Portuguese history.
At the top of the structure, a spherical cone adorned with half spheres supports an iron weather vane with a small flag, adding an interesting visual element to the monument.
