The Feira de São Miguel

Parque de S. Miguel is particularly recognized for being the venue of the centennial Feira de São Miguel, one of the most significant agricultural and commercial events in the entire region and, in particular, in the municipality of Covilhã. Before the creation of this modern space, the fair took place in the streets of Bairro do Cabeço. The construction of the park has allowed this age-old tradition to continue in an adapted location, underscoring its cultural and economic importance to the community.

Preserved Nature

During the construction of Parque de S. Miguel, special care was taken with the pre-existing natural environment. The safeguarding of cork oaks, a protected species, which were maintained on site, is noteworthy.
