The Interpretive Center of Traditional Arts of Boidobra is located in the town of Boidobra, an area integrated into the municipality of Covilhã. This location offers a tranquil environment, characteristic of a more secluded area, yet maintaining proximity to the main city. Boidobra's surroundings are set within the geographical context of the Beira Interior region, with its landscape marked by its proximity to the Serra da Estrela, which gives the area a distinctive natural setting.
This center was designed to explore and present the arts and crafts that traditionally shaped the cultural identity of the Covilhã region. It offers a glimpse into the ancestral techniques and materials that, over time, were employed in artistic and utilitarian creations. Building 1 of the CIATB is an example of the commitment to restoring historic structures, transforming them into points of cultural interest.
