Located in Cardigos, municipality of Mação, this bridge is about 2 km from the village of Colos, on the way to Sertã. It marks the meeting point of the municipalities of Mação, Vila de Rei and Sertã.
It is presumed that the bridge is of Roman origin, built between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, as part of a road that connected Mérida (Spain) to Conímbriga (Portugal).
