The main construction of the House of Gomariz dates from the first half of the 16th century, exhibiting noble housing characteristics typical of the late Middle Ages.

Renovations and Additions

Over time, the house underwent renovations, with a sunny wing being added in later periods.

Stylistic Influences

The Tower, built at the end of the 15th century by D. Pedro da Cunha, presents stylistic similarities with the gargoyles of the Manueline apse of the Sé de Braga and the tower of the collegiate church of Guimarães.

Conversion into a Charming Hotel

In 1913, the property was acquired by the family of the current owners and, more recently, was transformed into a charming hotel in the 21st century.
