Situated in the heart of Braga city, the Santa Bárbara Garden is nestled beside the eastern wing of the historic Archiepiscopal Palace of Braga. Its central position in the locality makes it an easily accessible spot, offering a serene refuge right in the urban area of São João do Souto.

This municipal garden is renowned for its meticulous aesthetic and the explosion of colors it displays, a result of the diverse flowers and vegetation that compose it. The Fountain and the Patron Saint:

The fountain, which once belonged to the former Convento dos Remédios (Convent of Remedies), was relocated here, becoming the pivotal element of the garden. Saint Barbara is a figure traditionally associated with protection, and her presence lends a particular symbolism to the place.
