Parque de Real is situated in the locality of Real, in the municipality of Braga, in an area of particular interest in the Cancela zone, more specifically on Rua Parque do Norte. This space is currently under development, within an urban setting that promises a harmonious connection between the community and the natural environment.

Its position in the parish of Real gives it an accessible character, integrated into a residential fabric, but with a clear focus on valuing green areas and local biodiversity, notably the surroundings of the Castro stream.

A Space Undergoing Renovation

Parque de Real emerges as an initiative to enhance a significant pre-existing green area, which is being converted into a public leisure space. The intervention is planned to be minimalist in nature, aiming to preserve the natural essence of the site and respond to the community's expectations. The focus is on creating a social area for the inhabitants and visitors of Braga, offering a tranquil refuge within the urban context.

Natural Features and Active Leisure

One of the central elements of Parque de Real is its relationship with the Castro stream. Cleaning and recovery actions have been carried out on the banks, underscoring the commitment to the ecological health of the site. The creation of a pedestrian and cycling path along the stream is planned, which will allow visitors to enjoy the riverside landscape in a more immersive way, maintaining the tranquility that characterizes this area.

The park will include areas designed for active leisure and family gatherings. A space dedicated to the younger ones, with a playground, and areas for group activities will be integrated. The presence of a metal bridge over the Castro stream will facilitate exploration of the area, promoting mobility and access to different points of this new green lung of Braga.
