Memory and Traditional Setting

This square has a connection with the locality's past, visible in photographic records from the beginning of the 20th century. At the time, Largo do Cortinhal was surrounded by typical housing that characterized the old area of Fão, namely the area known as Pedra-Alta. Although redeveloped, the place maintains a sense of continuity with the village's historical memory, reflecting its evolution over time.

A Space for Leisure

After a redevelopment intervention, this square transformed into a place adapted to the leisure needs of the community and its visitors. Currently, Largo do Cortinhal offers a children's playground, designed for children's fun, and an outdoor fitness circuit, inviting adults to practice physical activity.
