It is located in Arentim e Cunha, municipality of Braga, near the border with Barcelos.
The parish of São Miguel de Cunha received a charter from King D. Afonso III in 1263.
The parish was formerly an abbey under royal patronage and already in the 18th century had brotherhoods such as the Santíssimo Sacramento and Senhora do Rosário.
With a simple and traditional style, it combines granite stone with white plaster. The bell tower stands out with its belfry and the cross on top.
The interior holds altars in gilded wood carvings, well preserved, which are one of the highlights for those who appreciate sacred art.
Originally it belonged to Guimarães, then passed to Barcelos, and since 1855, it has been part of the municipality of Braga.
The church is located in a quiet area, with stone pavement and surrounded by small walls and trees, inviting visitors to visit and contemplate.
The parish is part of the diocese of Braga and maintains an important role in the local community.
