The construction of the church began in 1588 and it was inaugurated in 1606, with reconstruction works on the facade completed in 1640.

The interior comprises a single nave and a rectangular chancel, with a barrel-vaulted ceiling covered in stucco. Notable elements include the altarpiece from the late 18th century, the pulpits from 1781, and the Iberian organ case.
The collection includes two large paintings: one representing Our Lady of Mercy on canvas, and another representing the Visitation on wood, dated 1616.
The building was classified as a property of public interest in 1974.
