Casa dos Cunha Reis, also known as Casa Grande, is located in the parish of Braga (Maximinos, Sé e Cividade), in the municipality and city of Braga, in Portugal.
Built from the 18th century onwards in "Campo das Hortas", it was a display of power by the deans of the See of Braga over the centuries. It was commissioned by D. António Alexandre da Cunha Reis da Mota Godinho, a prominent member of the family, who considered it one of the most important buildings in the extramural area of Braga.
Casa dos Cunha Reis has been classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1977, due to its architectural and historical value.
The architecture of Casa Grande reflects the economic, political and religious power of the Cunha Reis family. The coat of arms on the triangular pediment was added later by Joaquim Jerónimo, brother of D. António Alexandre da Cunha Reis, in 1834.
Casa Grande still belongs to the same family, with the current owner being António da Cunha Reis.
Casa dos Cunha Reis is a palatial house (manor house) with two internal floors.
