In 1994, the aerial part of the aqueduct was dismantled and numbered due to the subdivision of the land where it passed. However, the final destination of this structure is unknown.

The Aqueduct of Cales received the status of Property of Municipal Interest in 1983, recognizing its historical and architectural importance for the region.
