Praia da Angra do Travesso is located in the Longueira/Almograve area, in the municipality of Odemira.
This beach is situated on the southwest coast of Portugal, integrated into the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Its position in a natural cove gives it a northwest orientation.
The sandy area of this beach consists of a combination of sand and rolled pebbles, stones rounded and polished by the action of the sea and tides.
In the area near the waterline, where swimming is possible, numerous rock formations stand out. These slabs and rocks can make entering the water a little less easy, so it is advisable to be careful when moving around in this area.
Above the beach, at the top of the cliff that borders it, an extensive and prominent dune system extends, which forms the natural landscape of the coast.
This beach is distinguished by its calm and secluded atmosphere. Being less sought after than others in the region, it provides a feeling of greater privacy and isolation.
The tranquility found here, combined with the natural beauty of the place, makes it ideal for moments of rest and contemplation by the sea, away from the hustle and bustle and with a serene atmosphere.
