Angra da Barrela Beach is located in the municipality of Odemira, in the coastal area near Vila Nova de Milfontes. This beach is nestled in a small natural indentation formed along the cliff line, characteristic of the landscape in this area. Access by land can be made by following a trail that runs along the coastal dune, starting from the neighboring beach located to the north.
This beach features a limited sandy area, a place where the presence of considerably sized rocky blocks is a striking characteristic of the landscape. Its configuration, nestled within the cliff, gives it a unique atmosphere. It is an oceanic beach, bathed by the waters of the Atlantic.
Angra da Barrela is integrated into the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, a vast protected area of great natural and landscape value. This integration reflects the importance of conserving the site. Over the years, the waters of this beach have received recognition for their quality.
