This beach is located in a small bay north of Zambujeira do Mar, approximately a five to ten minute walk from the village center. The surrounding cliffs, covered with coastal vegetation, create a natural setting where the blue of the ocean contrasts with the white houses of the village.
The sea, often sheltered from the wind, offers a unique perspective of the Vicentine Coast, with vast horizons and the constant sound of waves setting the mood.
Access is via a wooden staircase with nearly 180 steps, overcoming the cliff's drop. There is no supervision or support infrastructure, changing rooms, or bars, so it is advisable to bring what you need for greater convenience.
During low tide, a curious spot is revealed: a small cave housing a freshwater pool, formed by natural springs in the rock.
The clear, cool waters invite those seeking tranquility away from busier beaches. The relatively narrow sandy area at high tide widens as the sea recedes, allowing for the exploration of hidden coves.
The surrounding cliffs, painted in ochres and greens, form a perfect backdrop for those who appreciate photographic composition, especially during the hours when sunlight bathes the rocks, highlighting textures and colors.
