Later, in the 1980s, the space was renamed Adriano Correia de Oliveira Park, which is its current official designation in tribute to the well-known Portuguese musician. However, among the local population, it is affectionately nicknamed "A Mata", a name that highlights its tree-lined nature and its invitation to connect with vegetation.
