Built between the 16th and 19th centuries, it features characteristics of Mannerism, a sober and balanced style typical of the Lower Alentejo.
Simple facade, with a bell tower on the right and a baptismal chapel on the left. The main door has a marble arch, and at the top there is an iron cross.

Highlights include the gilded and polychrome carved altarpieces, as well as mural paintings, especially in the chancel and the gallery. The angels painted on the columns and the panels with religious scenes enrich the decoration.
Built in 1893, it has four bells and a clock. The top is pyramidal, with engraved inscriptions.

It remains as a parish church, holding religious celebrations and maintaining the local tradition.
In the churchyard, the pavement has the date of 1966 marked, possibly referring to renovation or improvement works.
