Mamoa River Beach is located in Milheirós de Poiares, an integral part of the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira. Situated in the Gaiate area, this leisure space was created as part of a requalification project for the riparian areas of the River Úl, offering a harmonious connection between the urban environment and the surrounding nature.

Water Quality and Environmental Recognition

Recognized for its excellent quality bathing water since 2017, Mamoa River Beach is a benchmark location for swimming. Its consistent quality has earned it the "Gold Quality Beach" distinction from Quercus, awarded consecutively. Furthermore, it proudly displays the Blue Flag, a symbol that attests to the fulfillment of rigorous environmental, space management, and safety criteria, demonstrating the commitment to the sustainability of the site.

Infrastructure and Accessibility

With an area of approximately two hectares, this river beach offers a set of infrastructures designed for the comfort and well-being of visitors. The site is equipped with restrooms, a first-aid post, and parking areas, including reserved spaces. Particularly noteworthy is its status as "Accessible Beach, Beach for All!", a program that ensures conditions for people with reduced mobility, such as facilitated access and the availability of an amphibious chair to aid bathing.

In addition to the main leisure areas, the space features extensive landscaped and lawned areas, inviting relaxation. A small sandy area and varying water depths (from one meter to two meters and twenty centimeters) complete the bathing experience. Near the weir, it is possible to observe a small mill, a testament to local history, and a drinking water fountain that serves visitors.
